The Next Level for Comedy




Comedy business has tremendously improved in Nigeria like every other sector of the economy. The time is now to separate comedians from jokers. On March 21st, 2010 at the Muson Center in Lagos , Maverick Multi-Media Events will stage the much awaited comedy awards tagged Nigerian Comedy Awards. The awards ceremony is borne out of a desire to reward a set of people who have been tireless in their effort to put a smile on the faces of the average Nigerian especially in these trying times
The Nigerian Comedy Awards is positioned to uplift the Nigerian comedian and locate him favorably amongst his peers. Being a first edition, the organizers are set to honour comedy legends that have made Nigerians laugh in the past and healed their many pains. Inductees into the Comedy Hall Of Fame include Chika Okpala aka Chief Zebrudaya alias 430, Night Of A Thousand Laughs’ Opa Williams, Ali Baba, John Chukwu and Sam Loco Efe. Posthumous honor will be given to the late Danjuma Mohammed and Monsurat Omidina aka Moladun.
In addition to this, the Best Upcoming Comedian will also drive home in a brand new car.
