Blacktribe: We Don’t Have Any Problem with Faze

Even though it is yet to become public knowledge, it is gradually gaining prominence on the streets that one of Nigeria’s most talented vocalist- Faze and the longest standing hip-hop group in Nigeria- Blacktribe are having serious feud. This is not unconnected with a verse in one of the lyrics in the group’s new album- Addicted
The track that has been causing this controversy especially in Festac Town - the hood where the acts reside is titled Wondale featuring 2Face Idibia. We heard it has started causing serious trouble between the fans of Faze and Blacktribe in Festac Town and it had resulted to fights on few occasions. To finally bring this unnecessary bickering to an end, Young Chief, one of duo that make up the group has come out to address the issue in order to put it to rest.
“We don’t have any problem with Faze”, he said. “The concept of the song is for everybody to dance and be happy. The verse that is currently causing this controversy is where I accused a lady of standing alone like Faze. That we don’t want any maga whey go dull the place”.
On why he described Faze in such context, he said Faze does his things alone. “Faze is known as a very independent person. He is always doing his things alone. Since the babe decided to stand without mixing up, that is why I described her as Faze. With all due to respect to Faze”, he concluded.
